Glorifying Celebrities
News stories are 80% gossip about celebrities’ bad behavior. The editors want those stories published because they know people want to hear that. People are interested in celebrities’ mistakes. Celebrities’ bad behavior is covered more in news stories than positive behavior because it’s exciting, it creates a lot of drama, and good behavior is expected.
The first reason why celebrities’ bad behavior is in the news more is because it’s exciting. On magazine covers it says ‘so and so’ did this and it makes people want to read the article. This is evident when “fought through eating disorders and has struggled with cutting." (Hunter) . All the magazines focus on this one mistake she did. Even though after all the changes she made for the earth no one remembers that. It’s exciting to hear that an actual celebrity made a mistake. It makes people know that the celebrity is not perfect.

THESIS: Celebrities' bad behavior is covered more in news stories than positive behavior because it's exciting, it creates a lot of drama, and good behavior is too expected.
The first reason why celebrities' bad behavior is covered more in news stories is because it's exciting. On magazine covers it says "so and so" did this and it makes people want to read the article. When Demi Lavato gives a charity a lot of money no one talks about it but when they find out she went to rehab it's on every magazine. People actually have opinions and can create a conversation.
Next when people hear that a celebrity got into trouble with the law or something leaked from their past the drama startsUsually when celebrities are caught doing something wrong they give the silent treatment to the paparazzi or are always in tears giving a sob story. People then create arguements saying either what that celebrity did was right or wrong.
Finally the last reason why celebrities' bad behavior is because it creates something out of the ordinary. It's not everyday people hear a celebrity doing something bad, so when it does happen its unexpected and shocking. People never know when a celebrities' career will go down the drain. so if and when it does happen people want to know.

Plan:
I give my self a 6 on plan because I was very careful and I did everything in complete detail. I carefully explained all that I was going to do and I Followed it too.
Create:
I give my self a 6 on create because I finished and it was 1:57 in time which is really close to 2 min. It is a really good way to learn what exactly the design cycle is.
Evaluate:
I made my survey and I have not tested it yes but I created all my questions and test them during intervention.

Design Specifications
10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it. I am going to make a short comic strip/ movie. I am making it for the sixth graders.
Formulate a Design Specification
11. What are the requirements for this assignment?
- teach a 6th grader about the design cycle
- make sure they understand
- 2 minutes minimum
- cover all 4 steps about the design cycle
- create a survey for 10 sixth graders
- make it simple
- have it fun to watch
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment? I feel like the time and simplicity because I want to do this long complex movie but I can't.
13. How will you "test" your project? I will give the sixth graders a 5 question test they must get 3/5 to pass. If 85% of the kids pass I will know I was successful.

INVESTIGATION REFLECTION !
On my investigation reflection I give my self a 5 because I discused everything that I went to and each step that I took. I also discussed the problems in each website and I said which ones I chose. I told the audience reading my blog about the things that I like in the tools and the way I want my cartoon strip to go. I created my tables and compared them. in the comic creator their total score was a 16. in Go!animate I gave them a 29. In the end of my investigation I chose Go!animate and I learned more about comparing and now I can start with my brainstorm design

Go! Animate rubric!
The rating that I gave for simplicity in Go! Animate was a 10/10. I gave this rating because it was very simple and it was very easy to use. It shows you how to do everything and it is very easy to access. I liked the simplicity because it wasn't to simple. The sixth graders will under stand because I use pictures and captions so they will not lost during the presentation.
Then I rated the Characters a 9/10 because there were so many characters to choose from. After I chose one character i could choose even more characters. All of them are different, and very cute. I believe the sixth graders will like the comic strip because of all the creativity Go! Animate lets me show.
I gave the themes a 10/10 because again there was so many things to choose from. You could have vampires to cute little creatures! I liked it very much. I will choose which one of the themes that the sixth graders will understand and have fun with. I am sure that Go! Animate will catch the sixth graders attention!

Comic Creator Rubric!
The rating that I gave the simplicity for Comic Creator for simplicity was a 10/10. It was very simple and it was just a few characters and it was very easy to understand. I believe even a 5th grader could understand. To me thats a little bit too simple, but it's still very simple!
The rating i gave for Comic Creator's characters was a 2/10. there weren't many characters to choose from. they were all smiling and I wanted different emotions. They limited the characters and had only 3 people. I like to have very different options and no restrictions.
The rating I gave for the themes in Comic Creator was a 4/10. there was only 2 themes with the exact same things in each. The restrictions were high which I didn't like.I want to be able to grab the attention of the sixth graders, but I do not think I can do that with boring pictures and boring themes!

Day 2 investigation reflection
Today I researched two programs. I researched cartoon strip and Go!Animate. When I researched Go!Animate I tried to create a colorful and poppy type of comic strip. As I researched this program I found so many different options of characters, backgrounds, and types or font. I looked at all the different themes. Then after I chose a theme I saw so many different backgrounds, after that I saw so many different characters. this particular program was very helpful.
Then I went to research comic strip and i was very restricted. I did not like the format or the characters. I did not want to go any further. Therefore i chose Go!animate.

Significant Concept: Design Cycle can be used to solve problems
Unit Question: How can my learning help my community? How do I make Sound Choices?
INVESTIGATE: (Write in complete sentences) Identify the Problem
1. What is the problem you need to solve? Explain to a 6th grader what the design cycle is all about by creating a presentation. (3d, PPT, movie, game, Poster)
2. How does the Design Cycle apply to the real world? the design cycle is used in the real world because when you work you have to solve problems, and you do that by using the design cycle.
3. How will this project serve my community? i will serve my community by helping the 6th graders and they will pass so i will help them.
4. How can my learning help my community? i help my community by teaching the 6th graders to solve problems.
5. How do we live in relation to each other?
6. How does this help others?
7. What are the requirements for this assignment?
8. What is the Design Cycle?
REFLECT on your learning.
Day 2
9. Spend one day experimenting with DESIGN CYCLE your presentation. List five things your learned about the Design Cycle:
Day 3

PLAN:
14. Brainstorm ideas. Use the chart below
15. What idea did you choose to demonstrate the design cycle and why did you choose it?
16. Does your idea meet all of the requirements?
17. Use the story board paper below to plan your presentation. Include how many levels you will have, what will be on each level, how will you include teaching skills to young students, and what will your questions be about.
story board.pdf found in schoology under “materials” & then files.
18. Explain how you will use your time to get your project finished in 12 days:
REFLECT on your learning
EVALUATE:
20. How could you improve your presentation?
21. Does your presentation meet all of the requirements?
22. Share your presentation with at least 2-8th, 3-9th, 4-10th+ friends. What did he/she like about your presentation?
23. Reflect on all the steps of the Design Cycle. What did you do well? What do you need to improve?
